Current Status:
Doucet & Associates finalized construction plans in late-October and the project was released for bidding in early December 2023.
City Council’s evaluation and selection of a contractor occurred on Jan. 3, 2024. City Council awarded the construction contract to most qualified low bidder, Harris Road Company of Wimberley, Texas, for $603,943.83. Two parking lots were awarded. The North Parking Lot will include 70 parking spaces, and the West Parking Lot will include 51 spaces, totaling 121 new parking spaces in City Park.
The contractor began construction of the parking lots in late-January 2024. The parking lots are substantially complete and in the final close out process.

City Council awarded the construction contract to most qualified low bidder, Harris Road Company of Wimberley, Texas, for $603,943.83. Two parking lots were awarded. The North Parking Lot will include 70 parking spaces, and the West Parking Lot will include 51 spaces, totaling 121 new parking spaces in City Park Parking Lot.
• The contractor began construction of the parking lots in late-January 2024. Base material has been placed, and concrete curb has been constructed. Asphalt and parking lot striping occurred in April ahead of Buda’s Birthday events.
• The projected substantial completion date is May 2024, weather permitting.

• Doucet & Associates finalized Construction Plans in late-October.• The City plans to advertise the invitation for bids starting in November followed by city council’s selection of a contractor in early 2024. The Contractor may begin construction of the parking lot in February 2024. The projected completion date is April 2024, weather permitting.
October 2023:
• Doucet & Associates will finalize Construction Plans late-October.• The City plans to advertise the invitation for bids starting in November followed by city council’s selection of contractor early December. The Contractor may begin construction of the parking lot in early January. The projected completion date is April 2024, weather permitting.
February 2023: Doucet & Associates is under contract and working on the preliminary report phase tasks. Anticipated completion for the parking lot is late 2023.

Current Status: The City is making an active offer to one property owner and will begin contract negotiations soon thereafter with an objective of completing the transaction as soon as the turn of the new year! Coordination with other property owners for land acquisition is ongoing.

• Ten Eyck finalized the preliminary/schematic design in December 2023. The consultant began the 60% design in March 2024. This phase of design will conclude this summer. Final plans for construction will be developed beginning this summer.
• The City of Buda recently acquired ~4.5 acres to add to Garison Park’s 40-acre property. The acquired property, located at 901 Garison Road, will provide continuous access along Onion Creek to Garison Road and, eventually, all the way to Stagecoach Park.

MWM’s final drawings are in the final review and permitting phase. The City plans to advertise the invitation for bids in fall 2024 followed by bidding, and City Council’s selection of a contractor.

August 2023: The City Staff and MWM Design Group presented the trail alignment to ~30 participants of the Garlic Creek HOA on Aug. 21, 2023, with no substantive or critical input/feedback regarding the design. The design consultant initiated the Construction Document phase of design.
March 2023: MWM is currently working on design drawings.

Green Meadows Current Status:
The shade structure on the pavilion at Green Meadows Park is complete.
Stoneridge Current Status: The City is pursuing the procurement of solar lights for the park and establishing a contractor to resurface the existing courts.

December 2023: The shade structure on the pavilion at Green Meadows Park was completed ahead of schedule. Final site restoration is expected to be complete by the end of the calendar year 2023.

Freese and Nichols, Inc., final drawings are in the final review and permitting phase. The City plans to advertise the invitation for bids in fall 2024 followed by bidding, and City Council’s selection of a contractor.
Freese and Nichols, Inc., are finalizing the construction plans for the trail, which are expected to be complete in May 2024 with bidding to occur in July-August of 2024. The City will be pursuing a grant for additional funding for the trail. Construction phase is likely to begin in Fall 2024.
