The reconstruction of Austin Street from FM 2770 to San Antonio Road would incorporate on-street parking, sidewalks, and stormwater treatment elements.

FM 2770/CHINA ST./MAIN ST. PEDESTRIAN CONNECTIONS
This project will incorporate pedestrian improvements such as connecting the existing sidewalk from Buda Mill & Grain Co. to China Street to provide a pedestrian connection across FM 2770.

IH35 TO OLD SAN ANTONIO CONNECTOR

IH35 TO OLD SAN ANTONIO CONNECTOR
Direct access to IH-35 Southbound Frontage Road from Old San Antonio Road is currently through private property. This project would provide for a public roadway connection to the Frontage Road.

MAIN STREET EAST EXTENSION
This project will improve the existing Main Street "Gateway Corridor" from IH 35 east to Firecracker Drive.

 

MIDDLE CREEK DR. REHABILITATION

MIDDLE CREEK DR. REHABILITATION
Middle Creek Drive Rehabilitation will address ground water and irrigation system infiltration and pavement rehabilitation, including crack sealing, reconstruction, and a thin mill and overlay for portions of the roadway.

OLD BLACK COLONY RD. REHABILITATION

OLD BLACK COLONY RD. REHABILITATION
The reconstruction and improvements of Old Black Colony Road from FM 1626 to Cole Springs Road include widening the existing 2-lane roadway, adding sidewalks and cycling accommodations, and improving drainage along the roadway.

OVERPASS RD/FM 2001 INT. IMPROVEMENTS

OVERPASS RD./FM 2001 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
The goal of this project is to address congestion during peak traffic times and improve the 3-way stop with potential accommodations for bicycles and pedestrians. This project is also identified in the City’s Transportation Mobility Master Plan.

RM 967 WEST SIDEWALK

RM 967 WEST SIDEWALK
To improve pedestrian mobility, a new sidewalks improvement project is underway to address the sidewalk gap along RM967, west of FM1626 to Buda Sportsplex Drive. The main purpose of this project is to make it safer and more convenient for people to walk between the Middle School, Buda Sportsplex, businesses, and neighborhoods by addressing the gap in the existing sidewalk.

RM 967 DECELERATION LANES
Based on traffic data and engineering, two RM967 intersections warranted Eastbound deceleration lanes: Garlic Creek Drive/Remuda Trail and Garlic Creek Drive/Grove Lane.

RM 967 RIGHT TURN LANE ONTO FM 1626
A new right-turn lane will be constructed on RM 967 from Canyon Wren Drive to FM 1626. The addition of this right-turn lane will accommodate westbound traffic and mitigate queuing from the intersection of FM 1626 and RM 967. During the preliminary and final design phases, the City of Buda will coordinate and engage with potentially impacted residents, businesses, and property owners to participate in the planning process.

SH-45/BAILEY EAST-WEST CORRIDOR

SH-45/BAILEY EAST-WEST CORRIDOR
The future development of the Bailey tract will involve an extension of a north-south road from RM 967 to the new extension of SH-45. This study is cost-shared with Hays County and TxDOT.

SIDEWALK GAP IMPROVEMENTS: CABELA’S DRIVE
To improve pedestrian mobility, new sidewalks improvement projects are underway to address the sidewalk gap along Cabela's Drive Sidewalk with a budget of $117,000. The main purpose of this project is to make it safer and more convenient for people to walk between businesses and neighborhoods by addressing the gap in the existing sidewalk.

 

WEST GOFORTH RD. RECONSTRUCTION

 

WEST GOFORTH RD. RECONSTRUCTION
This project will include a full-depth asphalt pavement reconstruction of West Goforth Road from S. Loop 4 to IH-35. Additional improvements include widening the existing 2-lane roadway, adding sidewalks and cycling accommodations, and improving drainage along the roadway.

ROBERT S. LIGHT BOULEVARD
Robert S. Light Boulevard previously connected IH-35 and Main Street/S Loop4. The road has now been extended to link RM 1626 and IH-35, close to Quik Trip. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has been completing the section of Robert S. Light between Main Street and FM 1626.

TALLEY LOOP REHABILITATION
A full-depth reconstruction is planned for Talley Loop from Cullen Boulevard north to where the road bends west towards Garlic Creek Drive.
